Four of six positions on the Fulton Town Council will be on the ballot in the May 6 election.
Normally, only three positions would be on the ballot, but Alderman Place 5 Sally Jane Robertson is resigning her position because she is moving out of the country. Fulton Mayor Kelli Cole made that announcement at the Council’s regular meeting Wednesday, Jan. 18.
The Place 2, 3, and 4 Alderman positions will be on the ballot, as well. The incumbents are Chris Garis (Place 2), Mary Ann Pahmiyer (Place 3), and Carl Biesenbach (Place 4).
Biesenbach, who was defeated by Robertson in 2022, was appointed to fill the unexpired term of Mark Wagnon last year. Wagnon had to resign when he moved out of Fulton.
The deadline to file for a position on the ballot is Friday, Feb. 17.
Election packets can be picked up at Fulton Town Hall (209 N. 7th St.).
