The Rockport City Council, at its regular meeting Tuesday, Oct. 27, approved a Professional Services Agreement with J. Schwarz & Associates, Inc. for the Concho Street Drainage Project.

The Concho Street Drainage Project, which is also part of the city’s Master Drainage Plan, is a critical first step for the Downtown Anchor Project. An existing stormwater drainage pipe runs underneath the area where part of the new city hall will stand.

The scope of work includes approximately 3,000 linear feet of concrete box culvert installation from the low area west of SH 35 Business, east down Concho, to the existing outfall box at Rockport Harbor.

Funding is from the recent tax note issue, which included $2.3 million for this project.
