Second dose vaccinations are being scheduled at the Fulton Convention Center for individuals who received their first COVID-19 shot in March, according to Aransas County Medical Services, Inc. (ACMSI) Executive Director Patricia Arnold, who is coordinating the countywide vaccination effort.

The events are only for those who participated in the various clinics, which were offered by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM).

Individuals receiving their second shot must bring their first dose vaccination card.

First event

The first second dose vaccination event will be held Wednesday, March 31 and Thursday, April 1.

It is intended for those who received their first Pfizer dose on March 10 at Rockport Beach Park.

DSHS will notify individuals by text or phone with appointment time and date. If contact has not been made, please call the ACMSI at (512) 290-3036.

Future events

Tentative dates for other second dose vaccinations are April 7 (for vaccines administered March 5, 9, and 16) and April 14 and 15 (for vaccines administered March 17-18 and March 24 - 25).

Recipients will be contacted by text or phone. If you have not been notified, please show up on the appropriate date and bring your vaccination card.

Upon confirmation from state organizations, final information will be posted on the web sites and Facebook pages of this newspaper, local government entities, and the ACMSI.
