Aransas County grand jury returns indictments

An Aransas County grand jury convened recently, and issued 16 indictments against 14 individuals.

Those individuals, listed by name, charge, date of offense, and bond set, are as follows:

Thomas Chase Helpert - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, more than four grams but less than 200 grams, second degree felony, habitual felony offender; on or about Nov. 13, 2017 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely methamphetamine, more than four grams but less than 200 grams. Enhancement, previously convicted of felony offenses; $5,000 personal recognizance.

Tomas Campos Garcia IV - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, less than one grams, state jail felony, habitual state jail felony offender; on or about Dec. 14, 2017 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely cocaine, less than one gram. Enhancement, previously convicted of state jail felony offenses; no bail listed.

Tomas Campos Garcia IV – Count one, possession of prohibited substance in a correctional facility, third degree felony. Count 2, tampering with evidence, third degree felony. Count one, on or about Dec. 14, 2017 intentionally or knowingly took a prohibited substance, namely cocaine, into the Aransas County Detention Center. Count two, on or about Dec. 14, 2017, knowing that an investigation was in progress, intentionally or knowingly concealed cocaine, with intent to impair its availability as evidence in the investigation; $10,000 surety.

Cylas Anthony Dougherty - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, less than one gram, state jail felony; on or about March 15, 2019 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely methamphetamine, less than one gram; $3,000 personal recognizance.

Jackie Robert Hackett - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, less than one gram, state jail felony; on or about Dec. 23, 2018 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely methamphetamine, less than one gram; $3,000 surety.

Brandi Ellen Johnson - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, less than one gram, state jail felony; on or about March 10, 2018 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely methamphetamine, less than one gram; $5,000 surety.

Gerhard Brian Hull - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, less than one gram, state jail felony; on or about Dec. 16, 2018 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely methamphetamine, less than one gram; $3,500 personal recognizance.

Pamela Mae Davidson - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, less than one gram, state jail felony; on or about Dec. 18, 2018 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely methamphetamine, less than one gram; $1,500 surety.

John Timothy Baird - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, less than one gram, state jail felony; on or about Dec. 18, 2018 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely methamphetamine, less than one gram; $1,500 cash bond.

Gail Lynn Peoples - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, less than one gram, state jail felony; on or about Dec. 18, 2018 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely methamphetamine, less than one gram; $1,500 surety.

Jennifer Leigh Garcia - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, less than one gram, state jail felony; on or about Aug. 17, 2018 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely heroin, less than one gram; $5,000 surety.

Susie Jimenez Carrisalez - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, less than one gram, state jail felony; on or about Sept. 4, 2018 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely methamphetamine, less than one gram; no bail listed.

Susie Jimenez Carrisalez - Possession of prohibited substance in a correctional facility, third degree felony; on or about Sept. 4, 2018 intentionally or knowingly took a prohibited substance, namely methamphetamine, into the Aransas County Detention Center; $3,000 surety.

Alexander Gonzalez - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 2, one gram or more but less than four, third degree felony; on or about Nov. 6, 2018 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 2, namely tetrahydrocannabinol, one gram or more but less than four; $5,000 surety.

Jacob Ryan Hernandez - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 2, one gram or more but less than four, third degree felony; on or about Nov. 5, 2017 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 2, namely amphetamine, one gram or more but less than four; $5,000 surety.

Reymundo Israel Pena – Tampering with evidence, third degree felony; on or about July 9, 2018, knowing that an investigation was in progress, intentionally or knowingly concealed marijuana, with intent to impair its availability as evidence in the investigation; $3,000 surety.
