An Aransas County grand jury convened recently, and issued 17 indictments against as many individuals.

Those individuals, listed by name, charge, date of offense, and bond set (if provided on indictment), are as follows:

Joshua William Clark – Illegal dumping, state jail felony; on or about Feb. 17, 2019 intentionally or knowingly disposed or allowed or permitted the disposal of litter or other solid waste, to wit: a vessel, at a place that is not an approved solid waste site, and litter or solid waste weighs 1,000 pounds or more.

Adam Lloyd Fisher - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 2, less than one gram, state jail felony; on or about Dec. 12, 2018 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 2, namely tetrahydrocannabinol, less than one gram.

Virginia Hunt - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, one gram or more but less than four grams, third degree felony; on or about Sept. 24, 2018 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely methamphetamine, one gram or more but less than four grams.

Devin Adkinson - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, one gram or more but less than four grams, third degree felony; on or about Sept. 24, 2018 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely methamphetamine, one gram or more but less than four grams.

Jessica Marie Carter - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, one gram or more but less than four grams, third degree felony; on or about March 7, 2019 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely methamphetamine, one gram or more but less than four grams.

Adana Adame - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, one gram or more but less than four grams, third degree felony; on or about Jan. 23, 2019 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely methamphetamine, one gram or more but less than four grams.

Ricardo Roman - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, one gram or more but less than four grams, third degree felony; on or about April 20, 2019 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely methamphetamine, one gram or more but less than four grams.

Janeen Biesenbach - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, four grams or more but less than 200 grams, second degree felony; on or about May 1, 2019 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely methamphetamine, four grams or more but less than 200 grams.

Amy Lynn Griffin - Possession of prohibited substance in a correctional facility, third degree felony; on or about Dec. 24, 2018 intentionally or knowingly took a controlled substance, namely methamphetamine, into the Aransas County Detention Center, a correctional facility.

Jennison Macias - Possession of controlled substance Penalty Group 1, less than one gram, state jail felony; on or about April 27, 2019 intentionally or knowingly possessed a controlled substance listed in Penalty Group 1, namely cocaine, less than one gram.

Vanessa Olivarez Torres – Aggravated assault with deadly weapon, second degree felony, repeat felony offender; on or about Feb. 2, 2019 intentionally or knowingly, and/or recklessly caused bodily injury to complainant by striking complainant with defendant’s hands, by cutting complainant, and defendant used a deadly weapon during the commission of the assault, to wit: a knife. Enhancement, on Nov. 30, 2006 convicted of felony offense of possession of controlled substance, Penalty Group 3, 28 grams to 200 grams.

Bradley Aaron Standiford – Aggravated assault with deadly weapon, second degree felony, repeat felony offender; on or about Feb. 9, 2019, intentionally or knowingly, and/or recklessly caused bodily injury to complainant by striking complainant with defendant’s hands, or by grabbing complainant with defendant’s hands and defendant used a deadly weapon during the commission of the assault, to wit: a knife. Enhancement, on June 6, 2016 convicted of felony offense of possession o controlled substance, Penalty Group 4, four grams to 200 grams.

Christopher Dale Havens – Aggravated assault impede breath, third degree felony; on or about June 15, 2019, intentionally or knowingly, and/or recklessly caused bodily injury to complainant, a person whom which the defendant had a dating relationship, by striking complainant with defendant’s hands or by grabbing complainant with defendant’s hands, and the defendant did impede the normal breathing or circulation of the blood of complainant by applying pressure to the throat or neck of complainant with defendant’s hands.

Robert Aaron Ayers – Burglary of a habitation with intent to commit theft, second degree felony, repeat felony offender; on or about April 15, 2019, intentionally or knowingly entered a habitation without the effective consent of the owner and attempted to commit or committed the offense of theft. Enhancement, on Aug. 20, 2009 convicted of felony offense of indecency with a child.

Charles Lewis Tucker – Burglary of a habitation with intent to commit theft, second degree felony; on or about Nov. 14, 2018, intentionally or knowingly entered a habitation without the effective consent of the owner and attempted to commit or committed the offense of theft.

Lance Kile Herrera – Burglary of a habitation with intent to commit theft, second degree felony, repeat felony offender; on or about Sept. 4, 2018, intentionally or knowingly entered a habitation without the effective consent of the owner and attempted to commit or committed the offense of theft. Enhancement, on July 17, 2014 convicted of felony offense of possession of controlled substance, Penalty Group 1, one to four grams.

Aron Eugene Burks – Count one, sexual assault, second degree felony. Count two, aggravated assault impede breath, third degree felony. Count three, aggravated assault serious bodily injury, second degree felony. Count one, on or about June 15, 2019, intentionally or knowingly caused the sexual organ of complainant to be penetrated by the defendant’s fist, without the consent of the complainant. Count two, on or about June 15, 2019, intentionally, knowingly and/or recklessly caused bodily injury to complainant, a person whom which the defendant had a dating relationship, by striking complainant with defendant’s hands, by striking complainant with defendant’s foot, by grabbing complainant with defendant’s hands, or by striking complainant with the toilet seat and the defendant did impede the normal breathing or circulation of the blood of complainant by applying pressure to the throat or neck of the complainant with defendant’s hands. Count three, on or about June 15, 2019, intentionally, knowingly and/or recklessly caused bodily injury to complainant, a person whom which the defendant had a dating relationship, by striking complainant with defendant’s hands, by striking complainant with defendant’s foot, by grabbing complainant with defendant’s hands, or by striking complainant with the toilet seat which caused serious bodily injury to complainant.
