Former Fulton Mayor and Rockport-Fulton High School Athletic Trainer Jimmy Kendrick was recently inducted into the Texas State Athletic Trainers Association’ (TSATA) Hall of Honor Sunday, Dec. 12 in Austin.

Kendrick was originally a part of the 2020 class but last year’s induction ceremony was postponed due to COVID-19.

He was inducted with nine other 2020 recipients and eight 2021 recipients.

State Representative Geanie Morrison presented Kendrick with a special state flag for his service to student athletes in Texas.

Kendrick has been a licensed athletic trainer in Texas for 45 years and was officially the 269th licensed athletic trainer in Texas in 1977. Texas has more than 8,000 licensed athletic trainers today.
