Hard to take down

A memorial, which sat in front of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Parish Hall, top photo, was removed from the site Monday, Jan. 4 in preparation for the building’s demolition. One of two church buildings, severely damaged by Hurricane Harvey, was demolished last week. Demolition of the hall began this week, middle, but some parts of it, including this “safe” closet used by the Knights of Columbus, bottom, and proved stubborn to bring down.
