Sharon Wasteney won Best of Show at the Piecemakers by the Bay Quilt Guild biennial Quit Show.

Piecemakers by the Bay Quilt Guild hosted its biennial Quit Show “A New Leaf” Feb. 1-2 at the Rockport-Fulton High School Commons.

More than 1,000 individuals attended the two-day event. Attendees had the opportunity to view hundreds of beautiful quilts, buy quilting products from vendors, shop at the country store, participate in the famous scrap dive, and win door prizes.

Aransas County Independent School District Police Chief Sam Zapata was given a quilt in gratitude for his many years of service to the school and the Guild.

Quilt Show co-chair Mimi Braniff noted Zapata accepted the quilt in lieu of payment this year.

• Other Techniques – Lyn Stephens and Judy Bateman

• Group Quilts – Joanne Ray
