The Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce (RFCC) will hold its quarterly luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21 at the Rockport Country Club.
The topic will focus on “What’s In Your Future?” Growth for the community is on its way. How can one get involved and be informed to steer the community in the right direction?
The luncheon will open with a buffet at 11:30 a.m. followed by a quick Chamber briefing on activity over the year. At 11:55 a.m., there will be a governmental briefing overview with updates about activities and projects happening in the community. A panel will follow, presenting on the following:
• Top Five Goals of the EDC - Barbara Gurtner, Aransas County Partnership Economic Development Corporation
• Top Five Goals of the ACISD - Dr. Joshua Garcia, Superintendent of the Aransas County Independent School District
• Top Five Issues Facing Our Community in the Eyes of Law Enforcement - Police Chief Greg Stevens
A question and answer session will follow if time permits. It will conclude with how to be part of the growth to help steer the community in the right direction.
The buffet-style lunch will include a house salad with your choice of ranch or balsamic, chicken piccata, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans almondine, rolls and butter, and the chef’s choice for dessert. The cost is $30 for members and $35 for non-members. Reserved tables for eight are available for $250. Information tables are available for vendors interested in showing their products, at a cost of $25 each.
