Chucky's Quest helps kids

Chucky’s Quest volunteers help a mother carry out bags of gifts.

Members and volunteers associated with the mission of Chucky’s Quest hosted a Whoville Christmas celebration for 25 families at the Aransas County Public Library Saturday, Dec. 18.

Chucky’s Quest honors the memory of Martin Campbell, also known as “Chucky”, a young boy who tragically passed away Feb. 18, 2019 due to a sudden illness.

Due to weather, the event was moved to the library from Memorial Park and allowed 25 families with more than 73 children to pick up gifts and hang out in a Whoville Christmas celebration with Santa Claus, the Grinch, and plenty of other goodies.

Chucky’s Quest sponsor Jessica Solis said each child received at least five gifts with money and gifts donated by countless individuals and organizations starting in October 2021.

More than 365 gifts were given and more than $1,300 was donated amongst all families to help with needs before the holidays. 23 bikes were also given out.
