Mercer Construction will start construction on a new sewer force main along Rattlesnake Point Road Tuesday, Sept. 7.

Traffic in that area will be detoured, during the two different phases of work.

Detour signs will make it easy for motorists to navigate through the area.

Mercer Supervisor John Rogers said, “The detours will be in place for about three weeks. It could be a little longer, or shorter, depending on weather or any unforeseen issues that might arise.”

County Road and Bridge Engineer David Reid said the sewer line will serve the new manufactured home subdivision, located at the 90-degree turn on Rattlesnake Point Road.
