Helping out

Pastor Bruce Frazier and Deacon Jimmy Clark get ready to take off to Fairfield from the Rockport First Assembly of God Church.

The Rockport First Assembly of God Church provided gifts to about 30 children in Aransas County this season. In addition to those children in Aransas County, the church expanded their outreach to provide for more children 300 miles away.

The generosity of church members and friends of the church made it possible to send 45 bikes to the Pleasant Hills Children’s Home in Fairfield, TX.

The children’s home was founded in the late 40’s and is located on 900 acres between Fairfield and Palestine.

Pleasant Hills is owned and supported by the greater South District Assemblies of God, which includes more than 300 churches. Pastor Bruce Frazier and Deacon Jimmy Clark loaded bikes and delivered them Friday, Dec. 18.

“The excitement of all the children riding their new bikes made the 600 mile trip well worth it,” said Frazier.
