The Rockport City Council, at its special meeting Thursday, Dec. 30, met in executive session to discuss the Concho Street Drainage project, and the current impasse between the City and the Aransas County Navigation District in regard to the proposed drainage discharge into Rockport Harbor.

When it returned to open session Councilwoman Katy Jackson made the motion for Mayor Pat Rios to negotiate with Jerry Brundrett to provided consultant services to the City with respect to the Concho Street Drainage Project.

Her motion was seconded and approved 4-0. Councilman Brad Brundrett abstained.

Wouldn't it be interesting if the Navigation District used its eminent domain power to remove the City's new drain which fills the harbor with silt? In that circumstance it wouldn't matter one bit what Jerry Brundette said or thought.
