Through Friday, May 27 Aransas County had a historical count of 3,266 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Of those 3,266 cases, 2,232 have recovered (947 estimated probable cases), per reporting from the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS).

Aransas County has seen an increase of six probable cases, since the last report, through May 22 (947 vs. 941).

This latest report includes 12 new cases, and no additional deaths, compared to the numbers reported in the May 25 edition of this newspaper (from May 22 report).

There are 87 confirmed fatalities “with” COVID since the beginning of reporting.
