150 years old

Rockport Mayor Pat Rios and City Manager Kevin Carruth presented members of the Rockport Masonic Lodge #323 A.F. & A.M. with items saved from the city’s centennial time capsule, which was opened for the city’s sesquicentennial (2020). Accepting the items was Worshipful Master Darrell Dennis Dishongh. Some of the items retrieved from the capsule are a letter from David Gruber, which listed the names of lodge members in 1970, a booklet about the local lodge’s 100th birthday, which coincided with the city’s centennial celebration, and a grand lodge dues card. After the presentation, District Deputy Grand Master Richard Pannell, District 37-B, left, presented the local lodge with its sesquicentennial award, noting its 150th anniversary.
