Hands of Hope

Rockport Hands of Hope (HOH) held its annual fundraiser Saturday, Feb. 1 before a packed house at Camp Aranzazu. HOH’s Logan Burton noted HOH began “within” First Baptist Church to be the “hands of Jesus” to the people who fell through the cracks after Hurricane Harvey. HOH is now its own non-profit organization, with headquarters in a building on the church’s property. He noted there is still much work to be done, and that HOH is partnering with many groups and agencies to carry out its mission to help people rebuild their lives. Although grants were prominent immediately after the storm, Burton noted personal contributions are needed now more than ever.
