Still colorful downtown

With the Fourth of July holiday behind us, City of Rockport crews replaced the American flags, which graced Austin Street during the holidays, with the colorful Rockport Cultural Arts District (RCAD) flags. The RCAD flags were made possible through a grant from The Margaret Sue Rust Foundation. RCAD’s Mission is to highlight Rockport’s artistic legacy as a vibrant creative community, encourage new life and economic development, enhance our community’s cohesiveness and sense of place, and foster local cultural development. “We are grateful to the City of Rockport for its support of this initiative by placing, removing, and storing the flags,” said RCAD Executive Director Jennifer Day.
