(Editor’s note: The Rockport Pilot will publish the latest COVID-19 report when received from Aransas County’s public information officer. It will include the historical case count, number recovered, and number of deaths, as well as any pertinent information related to the virus.)

Through Tuesday, Dec. 29 Aransas County had a historical count of 544 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Of those 544 cases, 412 have recovered (110 active cases), per reporting from the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS).

This latest report includes 26 more cases, and the same number of deaths, compared to the numbers reported in the Dec. 30 edition of this newspaper.

There are 22 confirmed fatalities since the beginning of reporting.

(Note: Two days of free testing was held Dec. 19-20 at which 377 people were tested. There were 357 negative test results, and 20 individuals tested positive. If one has not received his or her test results call 1-877-837-8461.)
