Aransas County Commissioners, at their regular meeting Monday, July 13, approved three items related to the creation of a TEAM Workforce Development and Entrepreneur Center, proposed for the former Little Bay Elementary building on Business Highway 35 N.
Commissioners first approved a Memorandum of Understanding with Del Mar College to demonstrate Del Mar College’s support for the establishment of a TEAM Workforce Development and Entrepreneur Center in Aransas County and to further confirm its commitment to operate and provide educational and workforce programming at the Center.
Then they approved Resolution #R-33-2020, authorizing the award of a professional environmental services contract for a federally funded project located at 2000 State Highway 35 Business North, to Wild Associates in the amount of $7,250 for a Phase I and II environmental assessment.
The final item approved by the court was Resolution #R-32-2020, authorizing the award of an appraisal services contract for a federally funded project located at 2000 State Highway Business North, to Tasador, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $4,250.
The three items that were approved are necessary to move forward with plans for the Center.
