Aransas County officials received word Tuesday, June 23 the county has three additional positive test results for COVID-19. That brings the historical case count to 10 (per official reporting from the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS).
Case number nine is a male between the ages of 10 and 12 and case numbers eight and 10 are females in their 50s. The patients are currently isolated in self-quarantine.
DSHS is supporting Aransas County in identifying any close contacts of the patients so they can be isolated and monitored for symptoms.
The DSHS Public Health Region 11 reminds the public it is conducting contact investigations on persons who have tested positive to determine possible exposure to others. If the health department has not contacted you, there is no need to take any action at this time.
DSHS Public Health Region 11, Aransas County and city officials continue to work together against COVID-19. All agencies are vigilant and reporting results for COVID-19 in the region. They are also working together to educate the public and practice social distancing.
The public can find up-to-date coronavirus information and what to do if you’re sick at dshs.texas.gov.
Additionally, testing information is available on the same website.
