Communities as a Start UP sessions began Sept. 16, 2020. That first session was an introduction of the Communities as Start UP (CASU) concept and review of the outcomes of Phase 1, which was completed in February 2020.
There have already been four sessions.
The second session in October 2020 explored community aspirations as a foundation for implementing the CASU model.
The third session in November 2020 focused on creating an entrepreneurial ecosystem as a structural imperative for the CASU model.
The fourth session in January covered crafting the Community Model Canvas as a tool for creating competitive advantage.
The fifth session is from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10. It is about engaging the TEAM Concept to accelerate the development of new entrepreneurial opportunities.
If one is interested in attending the fifth session contact Melissa Windle at Melissa.Windle@tamucc.edu for a link to the virtual session.
The sixth and last session of the series is from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 10. It will be about visualizing the long-term goals for Rockport-Fulton as a Start UP community.
