The ground at the corner of corner of St. Mary’s and South Magnolia streets is being prepped to accept the Kline’s Café building. Rockport Center for the Arts Executive Director Luis Puron said pouring of the foundation, on which Kline’s will sit, should start Thursday. Once the foundation has been poured, and is 85% cured, it can accept the building. “We’re trying to time it all,” he said, adding it should all be done by the end of the month. Ram House Movers, Inc. is moving Kline’s from its Austin Street location to its new home. Upside Ventures LLC is paying for the relocation in exchange for title ownership of the building. Restoration and maintenance of the building will be the responsibility of the new owner.
