The U.S. Census Bureau will end field data collection the last day of September. Self-response options will also close on that date to permit the commencement of data processing.

Aransas County, the City of Rockport, and Town of Fulton response rates lag far behind the state’s overall response rate.

If the county, city, and town end up with an inaccurate count, it could wind up costing Aransas County millions of dollars in federal funding.

If one has not filled out his or her Census form, visit 2020census.gov and fill out the Census form for your household today. It is vitally important to the future wellbeing of Aransas County.

The latest data available from the Census Bureau shows the state of Texas with a 60.6% response rate. Aransas County is at 37.6% (compared to 40.1% in 2010), Rockport is at 40.9% (compared to 47.1% in 2010), and Fulton is at 27.6% (compared to 15.9% in 2010).
