First tenants

The first tenants recently moved into Pearl Point apartments, prior to the third anniversary of Hurricane Harvey. That was the developer’s goal. The beautiful new housing is located at the intersection of Pearl Street (FM 2165) and the State Highway 35 Bypass, hence the name “Pearl Point”.

Pearl Point, a new 34-acre master planned community in Rockport, welcomed its first tenant in early August, prior to the third anniversary of Hurricane Harvey. This milestone was a primary goal of developers Uhr Real Estate, Inc. and Frew Development Group, LLC.

“Anyone who lived through Harvey remembers August 2017 as a dark time and it was important to host our first tenants before the third anniversary as our commitment to making Rockport-Fulton better than ever,” said co-owner Mark Uhr.

Pearl Point is managed by Greystar Real Estate Partners and features three-story “garden style” apartment buildings, a clubhouse with on-site management, a community room, fitness facility, business center and swimming pool, garages, carports, pedestrian pathways, a fenced pet park and green space. It will be constructed in two phases, with 216 units in Phase I completed by November. Construction of Phase II with 240 apartments will start in 2021.
