The Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce (RFCC) Bay Blazers and staff were joined by guests recently to celebrate a ribbon cutting for Del Campo Meat Market, located at located at 106 E. Liberty Street.
“We all know Hurricane Harvey destroyed many homes and businesses in our community in August of 2017. Fat’s Quality Meats was one of them and unfortunately, the damage was very severe that the owner decided that he was not going to reopen. I purchased the location, not knowing what I would do with it and at first it was just going to be a project to remodel the building,” said Manuel Estrada, Del Campo Meat Market Owner. “While remodeling, hundreds of people stopped to ask if the meat market was coming back or to see what it was going to be. At that point I realized that the community requested the meat market. Thanks to the help of my family and friends, I have managed to not only remodel the building inside and out, but have also managed to get the Del Campo Meat Market started.”
Del Campo Meat Market offers a wide variety of high quality meats. Some of the meats include High River Angus beef, an upper two-thirds choice grade product. Also, quality cuts of premium pork from Comfrey Farms, chicken from Presidente, and produce. One will find consistent quality that is juicy, tender and flavorful in every bite.
Hours of operation are Monday – Saturday, from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.; and closed Sundays.
