Ribbon cutting

The Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce (RFCC) Bay Blazers and staff were joined by guests recently to celebrate a ribbon cutting for Baker Law, located at 401 S. Austin Street.

Baker Law, owned by attorney Kevin Baker, is located in the Rockport Heritage District. The newly renovated building, formerly home of Victoria’s Gold and Gems, is home to the Baker Law office on one side, with a rental space that is soon to be the temporary home of Rockport Center for the Arts.

Baker Law established in 2018 to help homeowners whose insurance companies failed to properly adjust claims and fairly pay for damages resulting from Hurricane Harvey. The firm continues to be primarily involved in assisting people with insurance disputes. Now, with so many named storms hitting Texas this year, the need for such help will likely continue for months or even years to come.

When asked about helping his clients, Baker said, “We represent friends, family and neighbors. If you aren’t one when we get started, we want you to be one when we are finished.”

The Baker Law office is open from 9 a.m. 5 p.m. Monday – Friday. Appointments are strongly encouraged.

For more information, more information, check out Baker Law at www.facebook.com/kevinbakerlaw/ on Facebook, schedule an appointment, or call their office at 361-355-8855.
