Resort coming soon

The former Tenneco site at 710 W. First Street in Lamar has sold to Murphy Shores, LLC, a local RV resort development/management group. Once developed, the 27.8 acre property will be dubbed “The RV Reserve at Newcomb Point”, a luxury RV resort on Copano Bay. The new grounds will feature 250 spacious concrete RV sites and roads, cabin rentals, 400-foot fishing pier, pitch and putt golf course, kayak launch, easy access to wade fishing, fitness center, tiki huts, pet park, heated saltwater pool, bird watching observatory, nature trails, on-site store, and more. The seller was Crescent Pipeline Partners, L.P. represented by Teresa Ott of Key Allegro Real Estate. Janae Evans of Evtex Companies represented the buyer. Estimated completion of construction is projected for the spring of 2022.
