Ribbon cutting

The Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce (RFCC) Bay Blazers and staff were joined by guests recently to celebrate a ribbon cutting for Coast & Cottage, located at 510 S. Austin Street.

Coast & Cottage is the realization of owner Beth Doughty’s dream after seven years of helping husband Allen with their successful automotive repair business, Rockport Auto Clinic.

“I’ve always loved the idea of having a nice little shop downtown, full of the things I love. I’m excited to make that dream a reality and can’t wait to share Coast & Cottage with all of our friends and customers who have become like family to us,” said Doughty. “I’m having a blast putting the store together!”

Coast & Cottage is a new shop in Rockport’s Historic Downtown Heritage District. The shop will feature cottage style and beach house decor, body and bath luxuries, boho artisan, sea glass jewelry, gourmet candy, and very special gifts for family, friends, and pets. Doughty specifically seeks out brands who give back to help others, such as those who help fund ocean wildlife conservation, animal rescues, and bee preservation efforts.

Coast & Cottage’s grand opening was Saturday, Nov. 14.
