A travel professionals’ group, consisting of representatives from the Texas Department of Transportation Information Centers, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, Texas Highways magazine, Texas Travel Industry Association, and the Texas State Travel Guide editorial and photography staff, visited the Rockport-Fulton area Tuesday, Nov. 6.

They were in Aransas County for a “Sampler Platter” tour and visited major attractions in the area.

The tour is designed to give travel counselors first-hand knowledge about tourist facilities and activities in Rockport-Fulton.

Each participant was assigned a portion of the tour to write about. A final report will be distributed to Travel Information Centers as study material, as well as to AAA Texas and the Texas Travel Industry Association.

The group was provided rooms at Inn at Fulton Harbor, with meals sponsored by the Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce’s Tourism Development Council.

Community leaders stepped forward to greet and make presentations to the group, as well as to give tours of local attractions.

“The group has guaranteed they will promote that we are ‘Open for Business,’” said Chamber Vice President Marketing & Promotion Sandy Jumper.

Visit short excursions are a fantastic option in contrast to a more slow family get-away. Maybe you are shocked at the quantity of intriguing and fun spots where a household can select one day without breaking an currently overextended spending plan tripindicator.com
