Ribbon cutting

Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce Bay Blazers and staff were joined by guests recently to celebrate a ribbon cutting for Texas Rattler.

TEXAS RATTLER™ brand was a product idea born from the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. The mission of the company is produce local jobs by producing effective fishing lures on the market. In 2003, Rex Hoyt, a pioneer in the fishing industry, with a US Patent lure called the Rockport Rattler® had created seven jobs in Rockport. Hoyt sold the company in 2013 and the new owners moved the company overseas. After Hurricane Harvey hit in 2017, Rockport’s citizens could not rebuild, especially if they were unemployed. Many businesses that were destroyed never came back. Rex’s son, urged him to find a way to help his young friends who were without jobs. With much time and effort, this mission came to fruition.

The new TEXAS RATTLER™ jig-head offers a patent pending U-LOCK™ (Universal-Lock) locking device system made in the U.S.A. There is nothing like it on the market today, and it works better for a locking device than any other jig-head locking device on the market. The TEXAS RATTLER™ is Hoyt’s finest invention. The rattling jig-head products have an 18-year track record of being best sellers nationwide for both freshwater and saltwater. The new jobs created by business and services from the new TEXAS RATTLER™ jig-head invention will help local Rockport citizens continue to rebuild, now and in the future.
