Ribbon cutting

Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce Board Members, Bay Blazers, and staff were joined by guests recently to celebrate a ribbon cutting ceremony for Sew by the Bay.

Sew by the Bay is a full service quilt store with a growing stash of fabrics, notions, patterns, and classes to choose from. Some of their favorites are the Batiks, Coastal, Beachy, Bright’s, Novelties, (Ok … All of it!). They will also have an online shop.

Formerly known as Golden Needles and Quilts, Rockport Retreat House owner, Darleena Lanier, has purchased and renamed the shop to Sew by the Bay. Plans are to make the shop a friendlier, fun atmosphere for quilters of all ages to shop, visit, sew or just hang out with others who enjoy all types of sewing and quilting.

Stop by the shop and say hello at 701 N. Allen St., or visit the website www.sewbythebay.net. One may also visit their facebook page at www.facebook.com/Sew-by-the-Bay.
