Ribbon cutting

The Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce (RFCC) Bay Blazers and staff were joined by guests recently to celebrate a ribbon cutting for GlowRow LLC.

GlowRow LLC has a story that began 25 years ago. Owner Zack Jurasek, a Rockport-Fulton High School graduate, was just a child going out on his fathers boat getting in the ankle-deep saltwater and firing up the gas lanterns, searching for that elusive flounder. After being able to see every small crab, fish, and even that mystical seahorse, was a memory Jurasek coveted as that of bewilderment and amazement. When Jurasek speaks about GlowRow LLC, it is apparent he loves kayaking and wants to share that exact feeling of amazement he once experienced.

GlowRow LLC is the only nighttime lit, clear kayak tour agency on the Texas Gulf Coast. The lights in each kayak put off a glowing effect from the 4,400 lumens of light. The lights on each kayak are capable of changing colors to the user’s preference. The company motto is “Row tonight, on a wave of light,” said Jurasek.

GlowRow LLC came into fruition as something Jurasek saw online, and acted immediately. From an idea to formation of the LLC it took nine days and GlowRow LLC was born. GlowRow LLC is now on 10 months, the largest kayak company in Texas on social media, and the only nighttime clear kayak tour agency in the state of Texas that is both Texas Parks and Wildlife and United States Coast Guard compliant with yearly inspections. Within 10 months, GlowRow LLC more than 500 people have come to partake in the GlowRow LLC experience. Currently the company requires participants to be of the minimum age of 18.

GlowRow LLC offers two routes. One in the heart of Rockport at the south end of Little Bay and the other right next to Paradise Key Dockside Bar & Grill. Each has its own unique experience. The routes are at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Saturdays are at Little Bay and Sundays at Paradise Key Dockside Bar & Grill.
