TRACK: Lady Pirates CC places third
The Rockport-Fulton High School Lady Pirate cross country teams took third place at the Texas State Invitational in San Marcos Saturday, Oct. 3.
The team scored 73 points to finish third among the six teams in the 4A-5A division.
Coach Eric Rivas said some of the girls ran seasonal bests and represented the school well.
Those who scored for the team are: Viviana Venegas, third, 13:09.7; Desiree Perez, seventh, 13:29.2; Katrina Cryst, 13th; 13:45.3; Samantha Chrisman, 31st, 14:58.3; and Bertha Gonzales, 33rd, 15:04.3.
The Lady Pirates also had three girls run in the junior varsity division. Those who competed are are Yadira Almada, 19th, 15:31; Lauren Krupa, 48th, 17:24.8; and Erin Andrews, 60th, 19:14.6.
The Lady Pirates will compete in the Calallen High School meet Saturday, Oct. 10.
