Obituaries for December 31, 2008
Robert Eugene Churchill died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008 in his home surrounded by his family in Rockport, TX. He was 81.
Robert was born October 30, 1927 in Winifred, KS to Floyd and Alta Churchill.
He was raised in Frankfort, KS, with his brother Fred, 11 years his senior. Robert was married at the age of 38 to the beautiful Charlynne Templeton on January 30, 1965 in the chapel of the First Southern Baptist Church in Topeka, KS. After he graduated from high school, he joined the service, and traveled the world as a military policeman in the U.S. Army, and then a short time in the Merchant Marines. He then raised a family doing a job he loved; a mechanic at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for over 37 years. He was a wonderful son, husband, father, and grandfather who always put his family first.
He was preceded in death by his loving mother, father, and brother, and is survived by his wife Charlynne, of 44 years, his daughters Robin and Lisa, his grandchildren Alice, Philip, Benjamin, and Caroline, and great-grandchild Natalie.

The family will be having a private memorial service Dec. 30th. A second service, open to all Bob's friends and family will be held in Topeka, KS in June 2009. Kathleen Louise Pritchett passed away peacefully at home on December 25, 2008. Louise was born in Austin on June 14, 1923 to Anna Louise (Burnett) Pritchett and John Waller Pritchett, Sr.
She attended Austin Public Schools and graduated from Austin High. She took Red Cross training in support of the home front during World War II. She received a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Texas in 1945 and continued with graduate study at the College of Anthropology and History in Mexico City. She spoke English, French, Spanish and a little Aztec. Louise earned a Teachers Certificate and taught elementary students in Aransas Pass for a few years before moving to Hawaii to teach on the islands of Hawaii and Oahu. She lived near Sunset Beach and grew papaya, mangos and orchids. She enjoyed Hawaiian, Japanese, Chinese and worldwide culture. Louise retired to Rockport on Salt Lake and then Fulton Beach Road. She loved her dogs and birds.
Louise is survived by two brothers, William Carr Pritchett of Plano and Philip Walter Pritchett of Corpus Christi and by many nieces and nephews and their families.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home Chapel, Rockport.
