Obituaries for December 3, 2008
Chester Dewitt Harrison, 74, passed away Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008. He was born Jan. 7, 1934 in Houston. He served our country in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Johnella Harrison; one son, Joey Harrison, one brother; and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Cherry Sue Harrison of Rockport; two sons, Randy (Carol) Harrison of Rockport, and Cris (Jennifer) Harrison of Louisiana; two daughters, Arletta (Ty) Daughtry of Dallas, and Lanell (Jake) Turner of Nashville, TN; four brothers; and nine grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home Chapel in Aransas Pass.
His father, John H. Kennedy, Sr. and his grandson, Jason Kyle Reph, preceded John in death. He is survived by his wife, Vicki Thomas Kennedy of Rockport; two daughters, Laurie Stephens of Onalaska, TX and Kristin Kennedy of Katy, TX; three stepdaughters, Tina Rae (Steve) Hadley of Rockport, Buffy Thomas of Austin, Texas and Torry (Kevin Jaron) Thomas of Los Angeles, California; his mother, Mary Ruby Kennedy of Austin; five sisters, Mercile (John) Goes of Idaho, Irena Kennedy of Colorado, Nancy (Bill) Byrd, Pamela (Chuck) Anders and Teresa Kennedy, all of Texas; five grandchildren, Eric Emerson, Christopher Stephens, Jamie Stephens, Courtney Stephens and Zachary Jay Kennedy and one step granddaughter, Jillian Rae Thomas.
Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2008 and the family was present to receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral Services were conducted at 11 a.m., Monday, December 1, 2008 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 412 N. Live Oak St., Rockport, TX 78382 with Rev. Jim Friedel officiating. Interment followed at Rockport Cemetery.

John William Williams, 79, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008. He was born April 21, 1929 in San Antonio. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Merlin Fay Williams. He is survived by five sons, Larry W. Williams, James D. Williams, Ronnie W. Williams, John W. Williams Jr., and Timothy Williams; one daughter, Belinda Gail Walker; and numerous grandchildren.
Interment will be held at a later date at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
