New lighting, electrical business joins Chamber

The Rockport-Fulton Area Chamber of Commerce conducted a ribbon cutting ceremony for the grand opening of The Gallery of Lighting and Electrical. Owners Lise and Rene Perez and their two children were on hand along with the Chamber's Bay Blazer team, board members and staff.
Frank Martinez, a native of Corpus Christi, will manage the showroom.
L. Perez grew up in Copenhagen, Denmark and moved to the United States when she was 18 years old. She obtained her bachelor's and master's degrees in psychology from UNLV and Antioch University out of Los Angeles, CA. R. Perez is a native Texan born in New Braunfels and he has a bachelor of science and a master's degree in biology. He is retired from Southwest Airlines.
Both Perezes are lighting specialists. He has worked and recommended lighting layouts and selections for both residential and commercial businesses. His latest endeavors have taken him to California, the Rio Grande Valley, Lubbock, and the Port Aransas area.
The Gallery of Lighting carries everything one might need in lighting up a home or decorating it. Anyone who needs questions answered about where and how many recess cans to put in a room or when redesigning a bathroom or kitchen, The Gallery of Lighting can help clients create a layered lighting effect.
The Perezes have supplied their lighting expertise and fixtures to several builders in the area. This and because they own a second home in the Rockport area prompted them to open a second showroom.
