Daniel L. Bower, 55, passed away Oct. 17, 2008. He was a Vietnam veteran. He moved to the Rockport area because his first shrimp boat had been built and documented here.
He is survived by his wife, Connie of Rockport.
Private services were held on October 19, 2008.
Lonnie B. Harper, 75, passed away October 17, 2008. He was born June 27, 1933, in Cotulla to the late Earl C. and Winnie Essary Harper. He retired from CP&L after 43 years of service, and he served his country in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He was also a member of First Baptist Church in Victoria, TX.
Survivors include his wife, Gena Demory Harper of Victoria; daughters, Lona J. Bergman and her husband Chris, of Hutto, and Jo Ann Erdelt and her husband, Butch, of Huntsville, AL; sisters Gene McKnight of Amarillo and Mabel Dickinson of Tulsa, OK; brother Martin E. Harper of Cotulla; four grandchildren, Keith Bergman, Lauren Bergman, Steffanie Erdelt, and Steven Erdelt.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 23, 2008 at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Victoria, TX. Rev. James Shamburger officiating.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church or a charity of the donor's choice.

Jo Ann Hunt, 67, passed away Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008.
She was preceded in death by one son, Charles Durrett. She is survived by one son, Karl (Stephanie) of Rockport; one sister; four grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were conducted, Tuesday, Oct. 21 at Rockport Cemetery with Rev. Scott Jones officiating.
Florence Rebecca Cohen Wyatt passed into the fullness of life on September 29, 2008. She was preceded by her beloved husband and partner of 62 years, the Rev. John Francis Wyatt, “Father Jack.”
Florence was born in the Bronx, NY on October 18, 1923 to Samuel and Rose Cohen. Growing up in New York, she attended Hunter College and then went onto an early career in show business. Florence, a.k.a. “Florence Gale” was a “singer of torchy blues and love ballads on the NBC Radio Network.” With three brothers in the Air Force, Marines, and Infantry she made frequent USO appearances.
Florence Cohen married Jack Wyatt on January 1, 1946. This began the partnership of a lifetime. Florence and Jack, along with their two daughters moved from New York to Dallas in 1954. Together they founded an advertising and marketing firm, Jack, the president and Florence, the treasurer and personnel director. Through the years, the creative agency grew to successfully serve clients across the nation.
When Jack made the decision to begin study for ordination to the priesthood of the Episcopal Church, Florence was ready for the next great adventure. In later years when Father Jack founded MORE (Mission for Outreach, Renewal and Evangelism), the team traveled extensively conducting parish renewal programs, services of healing and reconciliation, retreats and seminars. Florence was often a seminar leader and teacher and was always involved in the music programs.
Florence was known as a gifted ‘people person' with a sense of humor and a tremendous desire to serve others.
The couple actively retired to their much loved Rockport.
Florence is survived by their two daughters, the Rev. Claudia Wyatt Smith of Bluehill, Maine and Susan G. Wyatt of Memphis, Tennessee; one grandson, Joseph Wyatt Smith of New York City, NY, and her brother, Joel Cohen of New York City, NY.
A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Rockport on Monday, October 27, 2008 at 10 a.m.
