Obituaries for September 3, 2008
Thusnelda P. Taylor, 82, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008. She was born June 28, 1926.
She is survived by two sons, George R. (Nancy) Taylor, Glenn L. (Myra) Taylor; one daughter, Patty Billebault; one brother, two sisters; five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Peace Lutheran Church Friday, Sept. 5 at 11 a.m.
J.W. Youngblood, 94, passed away Friday, Aug. 29, 2008. He was born Sept. 22, 1913 in Kaufman County. He had been a Rockport resident since 1996 and was a member of First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Willie May Youngblood; one sister; and two brothers. He is survived by two daughters, Anita (E.B.) Westmoreland of Abilene, and Nancy (Charles) Arnold of Lewistown, MO; one son, Jim (Laura) Youngblood of Buda; nine grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were conducted Tuesday, Sept. 2 at Lamar Cemetery. Rev. Gains Gardner officiated.
Expressions of sympathy may be made by memorial contributions to the First Baptist Church building fund, 1515 N. Live Oak, Rockport, TX 78382.
