| Members of the American GI Forum, as has become the custom in the last decade or more, gathered at the Rockport Cemetery this week and prepared to place flags at the gravesites of veterans. On hand Thursday morning, May 22, are, from left, Vicente Corpus, Richard Dominguez, and Robert Vega. Richard Covarrubias arrived shortly after the men began and helped out as well. The quartet also placed flags on gravesites at the Fulton Cemetery. Dominguez pointed out they spread out throughout the cemeteries and attempted to go row by row, however if anyone’s gravesite was missed, family members may call Dominguez at 729-8864 or 729-7144.Photo by NORMA MARTINEZ |
