Custom home furnishings store becomes member of Chamber

The Rockport-Fulton Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to welcome Maison Et Jardin (pronounced maze on). Representing the Chamber were the Bay Blazers membership team and members of the board.
Owners of Maison are Sharon Miller of Corpus Christi and Port Aransas and Steve Akin of the Rockport-Fulton area. The shop is a custom home furnishings gallery and design studio located in the loft of a new French Provence style stucco building at 1703 Hwy 35 S.
Maison provides indoor and outdoor home furnishings which can not normally be found outside of major urban areas. The store will carry furnishing by companies who are design leaders in fine home furnishings for outdoor and indoor living.
Maison also will carry European style furnishings as well as furnishings for the ranch home by style leaders.
For the home Maison also carries upholstry, fine furniture, and fine lighting, along with fabrics, antiques, and more.
Akin also will help customers with home remodeling and renovation designs, landscape designing, home furnishings, and home décor.
Maison is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., and Sundays from 1 until 5 p.m. and Mondays by appointment only. To contact Maison and Steve Akin call 729-3999 or visit www.steveakindesign.com.
