EVANS, KLAR, LEWIS ...

EVANS
Gerald S. Evans, 71,
passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2007 in Rockport. He was born Sept. 20, 1935 in Aransas Pass.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Alton, David and Clifton Evans. He is survived by four sisters, May Jean Mundine, Virginia Tanner and Darlene (Hughes) Varner, all of Rockport, and Corinne Webb of Lake Jackson; one sister-in-law; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 27 at 2 p.m.at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Rockport Cemetery.

KLAR
Kenneth Ray Klar, 55,
passed away Friday, April 20, 2007 in Corpus Christi. He was born Oct. 9, 1951 in San Antonio. He had been a Rockport resident.

He is survived by his father, Werner (Norma) Klar of San Antonio and mother, Verlon Walker of Aransas Pass; one brother, Bobby (Jeri) Niksich of Corpus Christi; one sister, Susie Klar of Aransas Pass; and numerous nieces and nephews.


Interment will be private at a later date.

LEWIS
John Armstrong Lewis, 84,
passed away peacefully on Monday, April 23, 2007 following a brief illness at Christus Spohn Hospital in Corpus Christi, TX. John was born April 12, 1923 in Waco, TX to Annie Armstrong Lewis and Waldo “Bo” Lewis. He grew up in San Antonio and graduated from Texas Military Institute. He continued his education at Hampden-Sydney College in Hampden-Sydney, Virginia. John enjoyed a successful career as a real estate developer.

John was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Ann Lewis and his sister, Mary Anne Seal. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Lewis; two daughters, Carolyn Drenzek and husband, Julius of Gouldsboro, Maine and Elizabeth Iles and husband, Larry, grandsons, Brandon Iles and wife, Marla and Greg Iles and wife, Belinda and three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Brian and Emma, all of Texas City, TX.

A special thanks to Glenda and Jimmy Hattenbach, who were always there for John and his family and the extraordinary care of Dr. Glenn Bugay and the I.C.U. nursing staff at Christus Spohn Hospital.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 27, 2007 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home Chapel in Rockport. Visitation preceded the service at 9:00 a.m.
