Blue Heron RV joins local Chamber of Commerce

The Rockport-Fulton Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony for Blue Heron RV Park. Representing the Chamber were Bay Blazers and board members.
Richard and Pashia Garcia, owners of the recently opened RV Park (November 2004), have been RV travelers for many years and residents of Rockport since 1980. When they purchased their home site, their simultaneous thought was to make the adjacent acreage into an RV Park. P. Garcia said,
"The property is perfect for this endeavor and Winter Texans as well as permanent residents will feel comfortable and right at home here."
Although the park is in an early growth stage, plans are already being developed for a future community building with pool tables and exercise room. The park offers a one-acre lighted and stocked fishing tank with hand-fed catfish. The pond is a favorite for migrating and resident birds.
R. Garcia added, "The country atmosphere gives one a feeling of the wide open spaces and our location makes us close to downtown shopping, restaurants and area attractions. Our website is currently under construction."
RV guests can expect to find full hook-ups, cable and Internet Access. Pets are also welcome. The property is located off the bypass at 1136 Heron Lane. For more information, please contact the Garcias at 727-1136.
