The Rockport-Fulton Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony for The Art of Beauty Permanent Cosmetics. Representing the Chamber were members of its membership services team of Bay Blazers and Chamber board members.
The Art of Beauty Permanent Cosmetics is Rockport's first and only salon to offer permanent cosmetics. Owner Angelina Hale is a Rockport native and is a certified intradermal technician. She received that certification from the Texas Institute of Permanent Cosmetics in Plano. She was able to open her shop with the support and help of her mother, Marsha Evers, and her husband Jeremy.
Permanent cosmetics, also known as permanent makeup, cosmetic tattooing and intradermal micro pigmentation, is the insertion of natural pigments into the dermal layer of the skin. This state-of-the-art technique has been medically proven and specifically designed to be completely safe. The Art of Beauty uses this technique to apply eyebrows, eyeliner, lip liner, and full lip color. Other permanent cosmetic procedures will soon be offered.
Lip liner and full lip color enhancements keep the fresh look of makeup without reapplying during the day. Lip enhancements can also appear to change the size and shape of your lips and help keep lipstick from bleeding into the surrounding skin. It does not come off even after someone drinks, eats, or even kisses, and the color does not come off on teeth or clothing. People with Alopecia, or hair loss, and people who enjoy swimming and other activities which cause them to sweat are pleasantly surprised at how natural the permanent eye brows appear. Permanent eye liner is a subtle natural look for both women and men to mimic thousands of tiny lashes. Additional shadowing can add a soft natural liner or a bold, definite line can be achieved for those with allergies to traditional eyeliner and for those wearing contact lenses.
Permanent cosmetics are enjoyed by those with little time to apply make up, who work in a sterile environment, who have allergies to conventional makeup, those who are physically incapable of applying makeup, and those who just want to look their best at all times.
The Art of Beauty is located at 1001 E. Concho Street across from the old HEB building. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. For after-hour appointments or for more information call 729-4449.
